Michelle Luterman Alfonso has always had an innate ability to mix colors and blend materials in a way that is most pleasing to the eye. She started designing and creating unique fashion jewelry as a creative outlet during her years at university. That creative outlet soon became an obsession. She would proudly wear her creations around town which garnered much attention in the Montreal fashion and nightlife circles. After selling many one of a kind creations literally right off her neck, Michelle realized there was a genuine interest in her designs. 
TOVA was then born in 2000 when she opened a small local boutique. 

After many years of local success in Montreal, Michelle met Jason. Instantly they fell in love and immediately became inseparable (even to this day). They married and Michelle took some time off from TOVA (not designing) to raise two beautiful children, Sienna & Roman. It was shortly after the kids had grown a little that Michelle decided to get back into the swing of things and Jason joined the company with her. Together they brought TOVA from a local boutique to an internationally accessible brand.

TOVA’s products are all designed by Michelle and are inspired by travels and the people and world around us. Beautiful, high quality made in Canada goods that are created especially for you. We try to create fun, distinctive and jaw-dropping jewelry accentuated with bright colors and featuring unexpected combinations of plating finishes, colors and materials. Including but not limited to genuine Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, hand painted enamel and various base metals, giving Michelle’s designs a surprising and playful edge.

TOVA creations can now be found at stores like Anthropologie, Beams Japan & Harvey Nichols as well as many other popular boutiques all over the USA including Puerto Rico (we love PR!), Canada and abroad.

As a family run business we never forget the values learned through growing from a small local boutique.
